Ready for more marathon training miles with a new pair of shoes. I’ve run my first 2 marathons in Nike Triax structure shoes and never had a blister, bruise or black toe nail. I was a little sceptical as the new Triax 16 is so different from the previous versions I have had since Triax 11.
After an extremely long time in Sweatshop Bristol wearing out their treadmill and filling the video gait memory footage just to make sure the new features hadn’t messed up a great shoe. I handed over my last Sweatshop winners voucher and a £10 voucher from Saturdays paper so got £35 off list price.
Also the shoes are in grey/volt as I am sick of mucky looking white shoes that never get clean, especially with the wet weather we are experiencing in UK.
Today I did a total of 26 pushups thanks to the Hundred Pushups iPhone app. (Week 2, Day 1, Level 1) #100Pushups. Felt this on my arms a bit after carrying my shotgun around yesterday.
Back to club for a tough interval session on the bypass. I felt sick ! Had to pop off down lane for a loo stop mid session.
Still ran 4 miles – intervals of 2/2/4/2/4/2/2 minutes with 60 second recovery.
It was freezing, no cloud cover, cars frosted over upon our return, wish I’d had my gloves.
