It has been a week since I ran the Royal Parks Half in London and whilst being laid low with a sore throat and cold I started to plan my journey, training and blog for the Cotswold113 in June 2012.
Training plan drafted – October to December is base fitness training with variety as the theme. This will include Netball, snowboarding, cycling with friends, running 5 and 10K’s, walking across those shooting fields and trying a duathlon for first time.
Through my own bad planning I have a 3 week holiday in USA in May so having to work around that, so starting training in January to have a solid 20 weeks of training excluding holiday.
Sunday was too nice a day to stay indoors, clear blue skies, little wind, dry roads and a coffee stop planned. So the road bike was pulled out of its winter rest and brought back into action after a clean & lube last week.
Easy ride mainly in middle ring – quite fitting !
